Let's call it "AR WorkHub". It might sound farfetched yet it's some concept I'd like to put out before it is designed by someone else, at which point I can't proof originality, so here goes:
The Ingress & Pokémon GO geolocalisation concept expanded, gamification of work, less virtual, more physical game elements. Employers and individuals of all sorts can put up legal tasks that potential players with the right (certified) skills can accept.
Missions at the AR WorkHub can vary, some examples I'm coming up with nowadays;
* Going into stores for brands to verify through pictures that their paid advertising is placed correctly, pricing is as agreed, etc.
* Mystery guests in stores, is customer service as required?
* Write an article about a subject.
* Find the contact information of a local business for an overzeas contractor.
* Post a letter.
* Take a (quality) picture of something.
* Check on certain unverified situation.
* Deliver a package from A to B, giving you points/credits transferrable to real life money. The delivery needs to be confirmed through receiver's phone or through a picture etc. so the employer can verify a job well done.
* Promo assignments where you go and flyer/promostunt for a certain amount of time... not sure how to prove.
* Helping cleaning someone's car for some credits.
* Doing some groceries for someone less mobile.
* ...
The unemployed (or people who want to work extra) find employers that don't need a fulltime worker but have frequent job assignments that are limited in time or effort to complete. By separating job offers in multiple categories that are linked with player skills, you can search, offer and find assignments according to what you can do best (no delivery missions are offered to you when you put in that you don't have a driver's license for example, etc.)
The difficulty or trust required to fulfill the task can be offered by registration to the AR WorkHub and having players certify the completion of a task. When you accept a mission, you get practical details and the employer knows who you are in return (for trust reasons). Failing to complete a mission you accepted could be fined with loss of credits or even worse, reputation loss. Succesfully completing the job in time does the opposite and rewards you with reputation and credits.
Über, not for passengers, but for little jobs people don't want to do themselves. Craigslist, but universal and more focused on work. Gamification of human labour, adequately compensated with credits worth money. Society helping out society.
Productivity higher and expenses lower for the employer, unemployed can make some extra money through those missions.
Thoughts, arguments, additions?
I'm well aware a system to ensure quality at AR WorkHub needs to be implemented.
